Riverhead celebrating homecoming day Saturday with the annual parade up Main Street featuring class floats, the Riverhead High School marching band, the high school NJROTC, local officials, community groups and first responders.

Riverhead Town turned out for the Blue Waves homecoming parade today. Throngs of residents lined the streets of the parade route to cheer on the class floats, the high school marching band, scout troops, public officials, various organizations and local businesses.

Spirit week culminated in a big parade up Main Street before today's homecoming game at Riverhead High School.

The Riverhead Blue Waves fell to 4-2 with a 21-14 loss to East Islip in the Waves' homecoming game.
